The Tragedy of Medusa  is a nuanced, contemporary retelling of the classical myth of Medusa and Perseus. At the heart of the show is the romantic relationship between the goddess Athena and her human priestess, Medusa, whose relationship is complicated when the other gods find out and intervene.

Son of Semele is a Los Angeles-based ensemble theatre company, that develops and produces innovative theatrical productions, and supports the work of likeminded artists. Their Company Creation Festival (CCF) is a festival of new works generated by ensembles using unconventional means. Four productions were presented in repertory in January and February.
